Michael Olorunwumi Adebowale, mostly known as Mykii Rapoet is a graduate of the University of Ibadan, where he bagged a degree in English Language & Education, strapless.

He is a spoken word artist, poet and creative writer whose artistry won the NIBSTEAR POETRY CAVE poetry slam in 2019 as first-runner up, same position at the Word Sanctuary Got Talent premiere edition, 2021.

As a gospel poet, he's won the first position, poetry category of SHABACH 2025 by Living Faith Church, sLagos State, amongst others. In 2022, he was honoured to be the guest poet at the Pangolin Conservation Guild Nigeria conference organized by UNEP, funded by the German Government.

Michael Olorunwumi, a Barack Obama YALI Network guest spoken word artiste in Abia state, a 3-time guest poet at the Global Leadership Advance at Covenant University, and the Annual Youth Alive Convention of the Winners' Chapel Worldwide, as through his gift awaken several others across the globe.

Others things his hands find doing are Social Media Management, Kampala textile designing, and SEO content writing.

If you were to have a conversation with the future you, what would you say?

I just did with mine, and here's all I got to say; I know lines will fall in pleasant places but presently they are falling on my skin and I'm having wounds, scars and bruises — that's unpleasant.

They say tides turn, so for now, I keep chasing my dream barefooted. I hold on to spoken word poetry, the hustle, with undying love, because it's the next best thing that happened to me after salvation.

You should do the same, hold on to whatever it is with love but in consistently. Self-love and patience will surely tell; not just time alone.

The future could begin the tomorrow, or the coming week, month or year. It's not necessary a long time.
