Hey folks! I’m back with part 5 to my cloak series: The Inventor!
I’ve only known this person for almost a year, but quite honestly the friend that I made this cloak for is one of the most supportive and genuinely passionate and kind people I have ever met! Whenever I’m around him, it’s so easy to just breath and be myself, so that’s what I tried to channel when making this cloak. As opposed to others where I had a clear cut design in mind, this design sort of came as I went. I knew I wanted a hood, and large pockets so he could hide cool trinkets in, but it wasn’t until I really threw together the fabric that I started piecing together what I saw! In the end, I decided to title it the Inventor, because that’s what I see in this friend. Someone clever and creative, able to piece together what other people might not see. Lovingly patient, and considerate of the little things. I hope, just as I do with all, that this cloak might help remind him of the absolute brilliancy that I see in him.
