Harlem House Renovation
A very personal project.
Restoring a 1910 Harlem house meant finding the balance between preserving its history and making it work for the way we live today.
Old details, contemporary touches, collected pieces, and a home designed to be lived in and enjoyed.

We may spend a lot of time preaching about all the big picture topics that matter when you’re starting a home construction project, but that doesn’t mean we don’t still love the details.

This is a few of our team’s favorite elements of Project Hampton Trace’s primary suite. Our sister company, Azalea Building Group, did an amazing job bringing these plans to life!

Black cabinetry isn’t just a bold choice—it can actually make a kitchen feel more timeless and thoughtfully designed.

Here’s why you should consider them:

▪️Highlights architectural details.
In the Andiron kitchen here it highlights the gorgeous ___ countertops.

▪️Creates a sophisticated and high-end look.

▪️Grounds a light kitchen.
If a space has lots of white or cream, black cabinetry keeps it from feeling washed out or overly bright.

▪️Makes an ordinary kitchen feel more custom.
It’s a way to make cabinetry itself a design feature rather than simply a backdrop.

Have we convinced you? 😏

A pantry only dreams are made of🌿
From the arched pocket door entry, to the textural patterned floor tile, crispy white cabinetry, warm wood countertops, fun wallpaper, cafe curtain & fixtures, this space has it all!
I could go on & on about all the details here, but instead I’ll let you swipe through and see for yourself.
…Taking it allll the way back to a photo of the same space at our initial visit to the home, our design boards, and rendering.
Enjoy!

We love sharing jaw-dropping kitchen transformations...

You know the ones where we knock down walls, reimagine layouts, or even relocate them.

But here is the thing:
Not every kitchen needs an overhaul.

Take the Fallon Grove project that we are sharing here.

Sometimes the layout works just fine, but it's time to update appliances, give a fresh new look, and add features to make life a little easier.
