This season had its ups and downs as it always does, but I am so thankful for the season that I had. It wasn’t ever only about the time when I cross the line though, it’s about this team and the memories that are made.

Definitely not the season I had imagined for myself. I ran 1 race and felt great, the 2nd one was super hard, and that was super scary. When I found out I had to take a break from running I was so scared. I was scared of falling behind, and was constantly thinking to myself how was I supposed to become stronger without running. I had to keep reminding myself that these feelings were not forever, and that sometimes you need to stop and rest, in order to become stronger. Ive gotten really good at masking how hard these last few months were for me. I’ve been feeling weak and so tired each step I take and each activity I participate in. I’ve been surrounded by such an amazing support group, whether they know it or not. All my teammates helped keep me going, helped distract me and keep me from giving up on running all together. I am so forever grateful for my team and coaches for making sure that I was still participating as much as I could, in order to still feel apart of the team. I had so much fun being a supporter, through all the meets, happy and sad. I enjoyed getting to know everyone better, and I super enjoyed getting to watch everyone Improve and enjoy themselves. This may not have been my season, but this break will help me become stronger and better. See y’all for track!! 🤍😉
