One of the hardest goodbyes.

When they say it goes by in a blink of an eye they were not lying. Thank you for all the memories from the very start to the very end. I can’t believe it’s all over. Volleyball will always have my heart. Forever grateful for the friendships, the laughs, and the lessons this sport has given me. The memories made through school and club ball will never be forgotten. Volleyball has taught me so much about life, and working through hard times. No matter where life takes me, this game will always be a part of who I am.

Thank you East Marshall for the last four unforgettable years.

The post I’ve been dreading..

Newton volleyball, oh how you’ve made the biggest impact on my life! From giving me all my best friends, family, and extra people I get the pleasure of knowing! I set out this season to break one record but came out with two and also hit 1000 career digs! I would never have gotten there if it weren’t for all my amazing coaches!

Coaches thank you for everything. For being the people I can count on to talk to, laugh with, cry on, and most importantly be comfortable around! Since day one you have had our backs and taught us what we need to know! Not only as volleyball players but as people! You guys will always have a special place in all of our hearts!

Teammates, oh gosh what a pleasure it was to have the funnest and most exciting season yet! I am so extremely proud of all of you especially as people because there’s not one of you that aren’t an outstanding human! You have all taught me that being a leader isn’t always correcting you, but being there for you, talking through everything, being excited for each other, communicating on and off the court, and setting the right example! I have loved every minute of this season and I always am proud of each one of you!

Younger girls, my words to you are just have fun and just never take anything for granted! Your teammates are the most important part of the team and never worry about what might happen just work hard and it will show! Be patient with one another and don’t be afraid to communicate with one another because that’s what makes a team better!

Lastly, my dad, I love you! Thank you for being there for EVERY single game no matter what! Having you as my biggest supporter means everything! I would not be where I am if you didn’t sign me up for volleyball one random day in 6th grade! We’ve been through everything together and I wouldn’t want anyone else by my side through everything! Also thank you for telling Heidi good job for making me cry because here we are today! The little mini “lessons” where you tell me what you think even if it is completely wrong or against the rules of volleyball but at least you care!
