Back in the gym today, this time with @man2man_soldiers 16U team! Always great to check in with the program that helped us develop as players and grow up into the men we are today. The young guys definitely made some plays on us, they just haven’t earned the right to the cameras yet😂😂. Let’s build!

Ok! Brag time on my second child. Baby girl came through hard in her second semester of school and really got back to who she truly is. Those grades are tight (I see a lot of A’s). That first semester was rocky but I had to think and let her know to give herself some grace as well as myself. She lost her mother at 14 after a complete year of high school…she starts her second year that was cut short due to COVID and had to adapt to a new way of learning via Zoom…her third year was still on that computer…her senior year was as we all know the work year. You utilize your time wrapping up loose ends and preparing for graduation, if done right you don’t have many classes left and she didn’t get to enjoy the things we know high school for (dances, proms, etc)…very little high school experience and educational preparation. Then BOOM!!! You’re now a college student with little prep for this arena and let’s not forget students and friends with their mother’s assistance and advice…you see it and you hear it, but your mother isn’t here for any of it, that has to affect you. You go into first semester college transition and stay afloat. See that’s what makes her one of my heroes…through all of this she shows up! She gets up daily in spite of, she doesn’t fall apart at what may look like a pitfall…she shakes it off and keeps going…she faces whatever is there. I admire her resilience and the fact she is coming back into her own, all the while celebrating her brother with out a jealous or envious bone in her body. So that you all know, she’s as smart as him if not smarter, she just approaches school differently. She hit all the same awards and got all the same placements as he did (even accepted to early college but chose traditional high school with advice from her brother). Jaiden is magic and growing into being a truly strong Black Woman! Let’s celebrate, encourage, support, and assist her as we should!!!! Great job boo!!!!

*You still chose the wrong school 🤣!
