Ive just made a submission to the @acccgovau over the changes from @myob .

Prior to 1st Oct 2026, MYOB added a surcharge of 1.7% + $0.25 (inc GST) for all credit card payments to invoices to customers, after 1st Oct 2026, they applied the surcharge to the business invoices that were sent prior to the date, though paid after the date.

After seeing i got paid reduced invoices, i turned off credit card payments, though on the system it stays 'active'.

I called MYOB directly 4 times, the second time i called, i got refered to finance after requesting to be repaid the amounts deducted and have confirmation the surcharges are switched off, after making these requests the finance employee hung up. Then hung up again when called again. I ended up having matter reviewed by MYOB senior employees.

If anyone else uses MYOB i would get this sorted asap.

Making an ACCC report is quite simple, the legal breaches of this are quite obvious: accounting software not paying business amounts invoiced for, non-consentual fees, not turning off services after requesting and attempting to turn them off.

On top of this you pay a monthly fee for MYOB.

This morning in our Auckland iHeart Lounge we hosted our partners at MYOB for Beyond the Ballot, a discussion exploring some of the key financial issues facing New Zealand.

The morning featured insights from Finance Minister Nicola Willis and Labour’s Finance Spokesperson Barbara Edmonds, with BusinessDesk Senior Correspondent Dileepa Fonseka and MYOB CEO Paul Robson opening the event. The discussion was moderated by NZ Herald Business Editor at Large Liam Dann.

Thanks to everyone who joined us both in person and online.

Most business owners aren’t ignoring their unpaid invoices on purpose. They’re just not looking at them on a set schedule so 45 days quietly becomes normal.

A proper AR process means someone else is watching that clock for you. Automated follow-ups. A weekly report. No invoice sitting forgotten until it’s awkward to chase.

DM us ‘AR’ to get your invoices back on track.

Before the doors opened at MYOB Discover Live, there were months of preparation behind the scenes.

Our team supported the internal event team from planning through to delivery, building the registration experience in @eventsair_ , coordinating suppliers and logistics, styling and managing the many moving parts.

Seeing it all come together is what we relish the most! Thank you, @myob, for trusting us to help bring Discover Live to life. 💜
