This car shown here is a 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT (ZA9DE21A0YLA12521), number 57 of just 80 total examples built for the world! This example, which is finished in ‘Arancio Borealis’ is a European-market example that’s believed to be currently residing in Geneva, Switzerland. This example was completed on June 19th of 2000 and represents one of the rarest Lamborghini models ever to be built! The Diablo model was produced by Lamborghini from 1990-2001 (around 2,884 produced), and it’s famously known as being the first production Lamborghini to hit 200mph. The Diablo was first shown to public in 1990 on the 21st of January in Monte Carlo, where it proved to be better equipped all-around than the previous Countach model. The initial design work for the Diablo model was handled by Italian car designer, Marcello Gandini, while American automobile designer, Tom Gale is credited for the final design. The Diablo was built in many different variations including the Diablo, the Diablo VT, the SE30 and SE30 Jota, the SV, the VT Roadster, the SV Roadster, the SV post-facelift (1999), VT and VT Roadster post-facelift (1999), the GT (shown here), the VT 6.0 and VT 6.0 SE, and a number of factory racing specials. As far as the GT variant in specific goes, only 80 cars total were built for the world after the model was introduced at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. Many of the features and characteristics of the GT were exclusive to the model, and this variation of the Diablo was built to serve as a more track-oriented offering. The GT was a European-market only car with revised bodywork made mostly of carbon fiber, greater performance and a fully stripped-out interior. The GT model also featured enhanced aerodynamics, a 575bhp 6.0L V12 engine, front quarter panel NACA style ducts, a large carbon fiber diffuser, race-spec bucket seats, and much more.

Guys, I don't know what you think, but whatever they've done now at IG - it has getting worse 😂

But that is not stopping me at from introducing the #50YearsOfGolf hashtag to, at least, 27 people. Anyway, let's cherish the car, that brought #Volkswagen back from the (rear engined) brink.
So from time to time, we will look closer at the history of a car, that got his own class of cars.

Let's just start with this one. A later MKI in daily use in Southern France, once ordered in the higher GLS spec, with all the signs of life today.

One of Giugiaros finest, the #VWGolf!

In November 1988 I took this photo through the showroom window of Auto Becker Düsseldorf. There were no fewer than two 288 GTOs, an F40, two 412s and a Testarossa inside. Does anyone have an idea about the VIN numbers of the cars that were in this showroom in November 1988?
