Recovery Arc Part 2 ~

Getting injured was vexing trust me, especially as someone that generally has taken good care of themself & had good luck in not getting seriously injured prior to this. But once it happened, I had two choices:

Focus on everything I couldn’t do, or pour my energy into everything I could control.

So obv I chose the latter.

I stayed consistent with my rehab, kept myself as active as my body allowed, prioritised sleep, ate as much protein as I could, and doubled down on the things I could control.

And I worked closely with my physio for treatment, an adequate rehab plan + making sure I wasn’t rushing back and turning a short-term setback into a longer-term problem.

The biggest lesson wasn’t really physical. It was learning to be patient and accepting that progress isn’t always going to look the way you want it to.

The goal never changed. Only the path did.

A huge thank you to @myosetuk for the help, guidance and support throughout my recovery. Genuinely couldn’t have asked for better care.

Part 3: returning to training…coming soon, stay tuned!! 🤓

The physique is simply evidence.

On 16 April, something special happened at Backspace Clinic in Clapham. 💙

Our chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths from across all four of our partner clinics @backspacechiro ,@londonwellnesslimited , @octopusclinic and @myosetuk came together for a Shockwave Therapy training and refresher session, delivered by the brilliant @function2fitness .

Because great care doesn't stand still. It keeps learning.
Shockwave therapy is one of the most powerful tools we have for treating stubborn, chronic conditions like plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, shoulder impingement and more. And when our whole team sharpens their skills together, every single patient across every clinic benefits from that.
This is what sets our clinics apart not just the technology, but the commitment to staying at the very top of our game. 🏆

A huge thank you to @function2fitness for showing up, engaging and delivering such a valuable session.
