Milo was only 3 months old when they rescued him abandoned on the back of a truck with a bunch of other dogs. We adopted him 11 years ago. His first couple months with us, he hid under the table 24/7 and was scared of everything. But with more time he adjusted well and thought of himself as our little guard dog.

I never knew how much he meant to me until I left for college. I thought he just loved getting butt rubs from me whenever I came back home, but it turns out that he was helping me through my own emotions the best way he knew how.

These past 2 years have been very hard for him. If you’ve ever met Milo, you know he’s a sweetheart and loves being around people, so it wasn’t easy seeing him become weak and tired all the time. He made it into the new year though and he’s a trooper for that.

Saying goodbye to Milo this morning was 1 of the hardest things to do. Things happen for a reason and I only hope that he is at peace once again. 💙
