Yesterday afternoon, 63 people walked into the Colorado River to publicly profess their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior through baptism. The August River Baptism is an annual @myrivervalley tradition, and I feel so blessed getting to be part of and experience this special moment in the lives of so many people. 🙌🏼 || “Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us — to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Congrats to our very own Scott Miller, on his 3rd place (Judges pick) win in tonight’s Chili Cook-Off at River Valley Christian Fellowship, made of course, with BEST OF BASTROP Watterson Ranch Beef! It was delicious, y’all - you’ll just have to take our word on it, ‘cause we ran completely out! 👨‍🍳🥉

For women who are incarcerated, the holiday season can feel heavy. Finding joy isn’t always easy. That’s why moments like Cookies & Cocoa matter so much. We’re grateful for our partnership with @myrivervalley for showing up with fellowship, worship, prayer, and a message of hope. And the thoughtful gifts, simple essentials that remind our ladies they are seen and cared for ❤️

Merry Christmas to the River Valley team 🎄

Helping Hannahs is a group I belong to that does monthly projects for the community and our church, @myrivervalley . At our Christmas party, we created fun ornaments, had wonderful food, a gift exchange and games. These are my ornaments. Which one do you like best?

Earlier this month, my Pastor, Cody Whitfill, preached out of Psalm 71. The heading on my Bible says “God’s Help In Old Age”. Verses 17-19 have always spoken to me, especially as I’m in my 60’s.
“God, you have taught me from my youth, and I still proclaim your wondrous works. Even when I am old and gray (or bald), God, do not abandon me, while I proclaim your power to another generation, your strength to all who are to come. Your righteousness reaches to the heights, God, you who have done great things; God, who is like you?”
I trust in God, and I pray for His continued strength, power and wisdom to serve Him and His Church (River Valley Church) for many years to come, until He calls me home to be with Him. - “Therefore I will praise you with a harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will sing to you with a lyre (guitar), Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you because you have redeemed me.” 🙌🏼
