Came across these flyers from The Double Down, a party me and E Da Boss used to throw at John Colins during the last couple of years I lived in SF.

Can’t believe it’s been close to 15 years now! The Double Down brought together good music and great people, and gave us a chance to showcase some incredible talent from the Bay and beyond. We brought through live acts like B. Bravo and Starship Connection, 40 Love, Raw Deluxe, and our kickoff party with Myron & E!

We also did Motown vs. Stax Pt. 2 with Tim and Gordo from Motown on Mondays. Teamed up with Platurn for a special 45 Sessions edition alongside Mophono, DJ RasCue, Hubcap Jones, Selector DJ Kirk, and John Blunk. And we closed it out partnering with Mark Divita and Champ from Echelon to bring in Camp Lo (one of my all-time favorites!) with The Whooligan.

Looking back at these flyers reminds me of a time when it was really all about the music and the vibe. No phones in the air. Just people connecting with each other and living in the moment.

Thankful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with so many great folks and play some good music together!

Shout out to @eric_boss for doing this one with me, and to @guillermoesseff who was definitely in the mix with us along the way!

Then of course I gotta give a special thanks to @friscolin for having such a dope spot and letting us do our thing!!
