🍂 Colorado Fall Break Part 2!

For the second half of our trip, we explored Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, Georgetown, and Leadville, where Evan got to golf at the highest-elevation golf course in North America!

Between fishing, pickleball, hot tubbing, exploring, and maybe being a little too loud in the hotel, we made some of the best memories! Knowing this was our last fall break before Evan heads off to college made this trip even more special. Colorado was absolutely breathtaking, but the best part was just being together. We’ve already decided next year’s fall break will be wherever Evan is at college!❤️

Colorado Fall Break | Part 1 🍂

Our first trip to Colorado, and Estes Park did not disappoint! From the incredible fall colors, walks from our cabin to downtown, Elk Fest to hiking to Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, every bit was beautiful. But the best part was making memories with our boys. We fell in love with this little mountain town and can’t wait to come back! ❤️

1. We love your love for Jesus and that your faith is truly your own.
2. We love how God’s Word is tucked away in your heart and your brain. You remember Scripture and understand things that constantly amaze us.
3. We love how incredibly smart you are—especially the random facts and crazy things you somehow know.
4. We love the leader you are becoming. People naturally look to you, and we love watching you learn how to use that influence well.
5. We love your athleticism. God has given you so much natural ability, and it is so fun getting to watch you use it.
6. We love the absolute BEAST you are on the football field. We could watch you play all day.
7. We love your heart to serve. Watching you faithfully serve in Kids Ministry on Sundays makes us so proud.
8. We love your passion for fishing—how you can spend hours doing it, talking about it, learning about it, and trying to catch the next big one. 🎣
9. We love how funny you are. You have a way of making everyone around you laugh.
10. We love your laugh—especially when something really gets you going and you can’t stop.
11. We love the friend you are and how much fun you bring wherever you go.
12. We love the brother you are. Being one of four boys is something special, and we love watching the relationships you have with your brothers.
13. We love your confidence and determination. When you care about something, you go after it.
14. Most of all, we love who God created you to be. We are so proud of the young man you are becoming, and we cannot wait to see all God has ahead for you.

Homecoming weekend ❤️ Loved watching the boys play at home again with another win! 6-0!!

So thankful for these boys, the sweet girls they got to share the night with, and the amazing community surrounding them. It’s pretty special getting to watch them grow up, make memories, and enjoy these special moments!

Boys, your dad and I are always cheering you on. You couldn't make us prouder on and off the field-- it is absolute joy of our hearts to enjoy these days with you!! We love you!

It was a full Scott Brothers football weekend with all four boys on the field!

A few highlights… Evan with an interception AND a touchdown, Pierson with a pick six, and Cohen and Westin both with touchdowns!

We are so proud of these boys. We don’t have much time for anything else in this season of life 😂 but there’s nowhere we’d rather be. We love cheering them on, watching them take their sport seriously, work hard, compete, and still have the time of their lives doing something they love.

One day we’re going to look back at all these videos and beautiful pictures and realize… these were the days. 🥹 So for now, we’ll soak up every game, every touchdown, every long drive, and every weekend spent on a football field. We wouldn’t trade it. ❤️ Lets, Go, Scott Boys!! Another full weekend of football to tackle!!

Today, as we celebrate 10 years of God’s faithfulness at Compassion Church, I can’t help but have such a heart for my boys.❤️🥹

They are just as much a part of this story as we are. When they were little, we moved away from everything familiar—family, cousins, grandparents, and home—and began building a life here. They have grown up right alongside this church. They have sacrificed so much, but they have also gained so much.

There are so many things I’m grateful for—the incredible women’s community, the baptisms and stories of life change, the outreach we’ve been able to do, the families who are part of Compassion Prep and our church, and the beautiful community we’ve been able to grow together.

But Compassion has also been deeply personal for me. God has used this church to heal my own heart. He gave me a safe place to heal, to own my story, and to see that even the hardest parts of our lives can be redeemed.

What an incredible gift it has been to serve this church family and, in return, to be loved so well by it.

Thank you, Compassion, for being home to our family and for loving our boys so well. Ten years down, and there is still so much more to come!!

Friday night lights are back!! 🏈 So excited for the game tonight and ready to take on our next opponent! My boys are fueled up, hydrated, and ready to GO!

Last week had so many fun moments, but Pierson running the kickoff all the way back was definitely a highlight!!🔥 And Evan was absolutely bringing it on defense! We’re also so proud of Evan for receiving another collegiate offer this week! What an exciting season for him!!

These are the days we’ll wish we could have back someday, so we’re soaking up every game, every play, every celebration, and every moment together. Let’s go boys!! Knight Nation, we’re ready! 🏈

Friday night game day! 🏈 LET'S GOO!!

When you have a senior, I think you appreciate every single moment just a little bit more. Watching these boys grow up and play together has truly been a dream come true. I’m not going to be sad that we’re getting closer to the end—I’m just choosing to be incredibly thankful for every moment we’ve had together.

These awesome pictures and videos are from last Friday night’s first game… a 55–0 WIN! Thanks to our amazing photographer, writer and socials, @gcs_athletics - you are giving our family such a special gift thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

And as a team mom, what a joy it is to get to know these boys and love them like my own. The team culture we have at Gilbert Christian is something really special, and we are so grateful our boys get to be a part of it.

Now it’s time for Friday night football again…

Let’s hunt down the Cats tonight! We’ve got this, Knights! 1 Down.... more to go!!

The Parent Pep Rally at GCS last night was absolutely amazing! Watching Evan get to sign posters as a senior and seeing the whole school come together to celebrate the beginning of fall sports was so much fun. The culture at GCS is just so special and I’m so grateful for our school and the experiences they give our kids that turn into memories they will have forever.

It’s been a lot of years since I’ve been part of a pep rally and I loved every minute of it! Senior year is here and I’m trying to soak it all in and enjoy every single moment with Evan. So grateful for these memories and this school!

Thanks GCS! You are amazing!

Somehow you blink and you have a senior, junior, 8th grader and 5th grader! I'm so proud of our boys. I told them the other night at dinner that they are my dream job that I have enjoyed every single moment of being their mom! If only I could bottle it up and push pause, it just moves so fast!

I'm so proud of our boys and our senior--his last first day of school. I love them all so much and so grateful for the gifts God has given them! It's going to be an amazing year!!

Grateful for a little getaway with my favorite person!! Ministry is a privilege, and it can be demanding. Taking time to rest, laugh, and enjoy each other is one of the best investments we can make. Thankful for every moment together! So much fun in Mexico with my best friend!
