We are proud to share that she procured 100 sarees from Co-optex to celebrate Women’s Day by gifting them to her colleagues. She made this heartwarming purchase from our *Baba Kharak Singh Marg* showroom in Delhi.

Muskuraiye,Aap Lucknow mein hain!!.is the first message I got from dearest Jyoti @mysareespectrum when I informed her that I have arrived.
And that was what the afternoon was all about. She was most gracious that as a first timer in her city she would come and meet me . Aur phir kya tha , we hugged ,laughed ,chatted like we had known each other all our lives.
There was not a dull moment in our conversation .Topics ranged from our personal lives to our perspectives on life to sarees to cooking and we found we had so much to share with each other.
Thats the reason I chose this very candid click to be the first pic.. When #sareesakhis meet ,even though we met because of sarees it's not only about posing in our sarees. It is to really connect beyond staged pics.

Whenever I get tired of our compartmental city living, I go to 'Maidan' ( গড়ের মাঠ ). For it's vast greenery, it is called the 'The lungs of Kolkata' ( কলকাতার ফুসফুস ). I try to blot up all the fresh oxygen and soothe my eyes which are otherwise busy soaking the radiation from the digital screens that surround our present lives. A few hours spent amongst that green, really gives my soul the energy to sustain for few more weeks.

Unfortunately it is on the verge of loosing its status due to the it's ever shrinking outlines and constant pollution level in that area. I have seen many Kolkatan being so consumed by the idea of Delhi NCR being the pollution capital of India, that they often tend to forget that we are not lagging much behind. For the last few years, I had been shocked to notice the AQI of these two of my beloved cities racing with each other for the crown in the winters. Specially the PM2.5 AQI recorded was alarming, keeping in mind that many sportsperson practice there in the morning. This pollution level could have been more damaging towards them.

There are more reasons to be alarmed. I was totally shocked to notice the sheer amount of litter spread across many parts of Maidan, when I visited last time. It's such a shame the we are so casual at destroying something good. And very recently, the century old trees of Maidan and other areas of the city, were the biggest recipients of cataclysmic blow of cyclone 'Amphan'.

The good news is that we have already learned during the early stages of lockdown throughout the globe, nature can refix and revive itself, without asking much from us. With this tiny silver lining as an impetus, we, the citizens may amass gradual momentum to save our city by doing our part.

Oh my office, my office ....
How I miss being ‘at work’ ....

Echo me if you miss going to work ✋
I so do...Usual morning rush of getting to work, dressing up, occasional excitement of draping that crisp cotton saree and a blazer on, greetings with a pleasant smile soon when you see your colleagues, getting my strong coffee to start the day. And then there’s that light banter with co-workers and of course the go-get-your-day feeling as a woman.
Then there are late evenings when you head home and your lovin' lil' one comes running to you for quick hugs and kicchhuss 🥰

I miss each of all of that !!!!

And "right now" looks just like this ; before every concall my boy needs to be reminded not to shout in the background or barge into the room or knock the room for that matter 🤷‍♀️
