“SMOKE TILL YOU CHOKE” 🎬
THE SHOP IS OPEN…
AND THE DRAMA IS FREE. 🍃💨😂

Here’s a quick glimpse of “SMOKE TILL YOU CHOKE” a Claymation Vertical Comedy Series I’ve been building behind the scenes.

It started as an idea in my head. Now these characters and their stories are coming to life. That’s what happens when you keep believing in an idea and put the work behind it. 💯

Welcome to the Smoke shop that’s in a Latino Urban Neighborhood in New Jersey. Luna’s trying to keep things running, her cousin Chuy keeps stirring up trouble, and everybody who walks through the door has a story or an opinion. 😂💯🎥

Family. Culture. Hustle. Neighborhood chaos. And a whole lot of laughs.

This is just your first glimpse.
More is coming. 👀💨

SOMETHING NEW IS COMING… 🚨‼️

“SMOKE TILL YOU CHOKE” 🍃💨🎥😂

I’ve been working behind the scenes on something completely different…

An original vertical claymation comedy series created by Don Dinero.

Welcome to the neighborhood smoke shop where everybody knows everybody, everybody has an opinion, and somehow EVERYTHING turns into drama. 😂

Meet Luna, Chuy, Doña Marta, Big Ray and a cast of characters bringing family, culture, hustle, weed culture and everyday neighborhood chaos to life in clay.

What you’re seeing here is just a little proof of concept / preview. The actual series is being built VERTICAL⬆️ made for your phone, social media and the way we consume content today. 📱💻🔗

I wanted to create something original. Something funny. Something culturally authentic. And most importantly…
New stories for my American Latinos and for the world 🌎

We didn’t come with an idea.
WE CAME WITH PROOF. 💯

SMOKE TILL YOU CHOKE
Coming soon. 💨😂

My first Urban Film Festival 🎬✨ and what an amazing experience it was!

Having “The Last Ride” be one of the films showcased made this moment even more special. 🤍 I’m so grateful to have met and connected with so many talented filmmakers, directors, actors, artists, cast members, and everyone behind the scenes who makes the magic happen.

Big Thanks to @directorteddyj @bethemod3l @novamber25th for trusting me with their vision for this amazing production🫶🏽✨

The love, support, and talent in the room was truly outstanding. I’m leaving inspired, grateful, and even more excited for what’s ahead. 🥂✨

Here’s to creating, collaborating, and continuing to be great. Let’s work! 🎬❤️‍🔥

Comedy is officially finding its lane in vertical.

Short form and digital platforms have become the new proving ground, where a funny idea can take off overnight and fresh talent can break through without waiting for a network to give them permission.

That’s why we’re excited to have our man Chris Spencer joining us at The 9:16 Playbook.

Chris is the co creator and executive producer of Real Husbands of Hollywood, producer of Jamie Foxx’s Netflix special What Had Happened Was, and host of Vice TV’s Black Comedy in America.

He’s going to break down how comedy is moving online, what actually connects with audiences and how vertical content is creating real opportunities for the next generation of Black and brown creators.

And trust me, Chris is going to keep it funny while dropping some gems.

Comedy is finding its footing in vertical.

Short-form and digital formats are becoming the new proving ground: where a bit can blow up overnight, and fresh talent breaks through without waiting for a network to say yes.

Chris Spencer is coming to the 9:16 Playbook to talk about exactly that. Chris is the Co-creator and EP of Real Husbands of Hollywood, producer of Jamie Foxx's Netflix special What Had Happened Was, and host of Vice TV's Black Comedy in America. Now he's digging into how comedy travels online, and how the vertical space is opening doors for the next wave of Black and brown creators.
