Today I got gifted by the WONDERFUL team at @myzacface and @kimzacharia__ with three amazing products:

What is really exceptional Is the Myzac neck cooling ring which is an apparatus that you store in the freezer. It’s shaped like a horseshoe and you put it around your neck and when applied to your neck it cools the body down and for up to 120 minutes practically so if you’re one like me who runs hot naturally or using it after surgery as I will be or even on the piste after a sweaty Fencing 🤺match I’m sure this will come in handy.

I managed to convince one of the most elegantly dressed women floating around the Vaucluse precinct to adopt our silk scarves and she’s now wearing our pocket squares in her hair too. Her name is Kim and when she came in she left with a few extra gifts 🎁 - lagniappe it’s called - look the word up. And it came back the following day when she dropped off a sample of her spray on moisturiser and picked up some more silk. Thanks Kim, this old warthog looked more like a prince 🫅 post my spritz. @kimzacharia__ from Myzac @myzacface ps: it’s been a heavy month of posting and it will continue on until the end of August if you need to unfollow no hard feelings.

Never really ran before. Always got out of breath. I figured that was probably a sign to start—not just for the challenge, but for my bone health, brain health, and cardiovascular fitness. 🩵

Update: I definitely didn’t finish last. 🫣🫢
I finished behind the oldest runner out there.

And honestly? That made it even better.

There’s something special about doing hard things with a group of people who are all figuring it out together. We had all the gear, not much idea, and spent most of the run telling each other, “”We’re nearly there.”” (Spoiler: we were not.)

Here’s my little survival kit:

* A playlist that deserves most of the credit.

A year ago I did a VO2 max test that told me my fitness was below average for my age. That was a shock.

I was determined to change it, so I started running again. Didn’t expect to be doing an 8km trail run with 2 friends a year later.

Yes, totally under prepared - wrong trainers, and it was harder than I expected but I finished and I really enjoyed it.

Looking forward to the City to Surf next weekend!
