Last weekend’s two-day training exercise provided valuable hands-on experience. Under the guidance of our NAVSOG SEAL instructor, we received instruction and practical training in various tactical and combat skills.

The training not only served as preparation for military exercises but also provided essential knowledge and skills that contribute to my development and readiness as a Navy reservist. More importantly, it strengthened our Unit’s capabilities, coordination, and effectiveness in carrying out tasks.

2-day Small Unit Tactics training was conducted by Oro-Trident led by a retired NAVSOG Seal Team 7 operator. The training was to enhance tactical proficiency, coordination, communication, formation, movement techniques and execution of combat tasks in a structured training environment.

A little CQB training during admin time. Just making the most of this nice abandoned building. Perfect layout with plenty of rooms, intersecting hallways and staircase. Basically a ready-made training ground.

OP ECLIPSE 🌑

What stood out to me during this milsim wasn’t the number of hits or the KDA. It was getting comfortable moving and fighting as a team.

Most of the CQB simulations we’ve done before were still games at the end of the day. This time, we deliberately tried to slow things down and apply as much of the theory as we could: movement, communication, positioning, clearing, and working together instead of everyone chasing individual kills.

Far from perfect, but that was the point.

Less about winning the firefight. More about learning how to operate as a team.

That’s what made OP ECLIPSE different.

It was an awesome site and special thanks to 6mm and @globalbarangay for organizing this event.
