✅Fire hydrants are a customizable exercise that can benefit people of all fitness levels. They can help strengthen and improve mobility in your hips, glutes, and core, which can help with everyday movements and reduce the risk of falls: ✅Hip strength and mobility Fire hydrants can help counteract the negative effects of sitting for long periods of time on hip mobility. They can also help with activities like walking, running, climbing stairs, and bending down. ✅Glute strength Fire hydrants can strengthen your gluteus maximus, the largest muscle in your pelvis and hip region. Your glutes control three major hip movements, including hip extension, hip external rotation, and hip abduction. ✅Core strength Some variations of the fire hydrant exercise can also work your abdominal muscles and tone and strengthen your core. ✅Balance and stability Stronger muscles in your hips can contribute to overall balance and stability, making you more stable on your feet ♻️In this exercise, Focus on squeezing your butt muscles while you hold this position. Now bring your leg back to the starting position.
