Standoff cleans up at Mount Vernon! 🏆

Not only did Standoff open the first iteration of the @mount_vernon_film_festival , it took home awards for both "Best Writing" and "Best Crime/Thriller Film." A huge round of applause for @n.r.keye for his screenplay and our talented Cast & Crew, who's work shows through every frame of the film.

We'd love to give a shoutout to Festival Director @bryanfilm123 He did a fantastic job organizing and running the first year of festival, as well as putting together an impressive slate of films, and informative panels

We'd highly recommend submitting a film to next year's festival to help this indie festival grow!

This time last weekend, with a herniated disk in my neck, the MVFF team was able to hold an event that housed moments of true vulnerability. Creatively, this was a first, for many, and for others this was a normal outing. But, judging by the reaction of many, it was an awesome program. It required sleepless nights, constant stress, and a very giving crew. Thank you to everyone involved.

This was our first step. More love coming soon.

First film festival was so much fun @mount_vernon_film_festival !!!

Flying from ATX to NY was worth it ✈️ I got to meet awesome people who are now my friends, learn from industry professionals, and watch films made by really talented filmmakers.

And I got to do it all with @_____ceejayy by my side. A big thank you to my fiancé for flying out there and attending every screening and panel with me and taking photos like a proud partner - always my biggest supporter 😘

And winning Best Cinematography helped make the trip worth it as well 🏆😉 not to mention I got to reunite with my best friend from 5th grade who I haven’t seen since 2009 and talk with her for hours as if no time had passed 💞👯‍♀️

Last 2 photos are just my fit checks outside the hotel 🧍🏻‍♀️

Had such a great time at @mount_vernon_film_festival this weekend! Huge thank you to festival founder @bryanfilm123 for creating a great lineup of screenings and panels for this event. Friends were made and the inspiration flowed.

OH aaannnddd Fatal Mistake took home Best Cinematography 🏆 Huge shout out to @blake_mendoza and the rest of the crew for earning us this award. Blake and I had many pre-production meetings discussing the shots and it was all worth it!

The big 3️⃣-0️⃣ finally hit. It’s 10 days late, but hey better late than never right?

Looking back on the past decade, I’ve learned a lot, made mistakes, hit great highs, experienced bad lows and accomplished so much, especially in the past few years. I can safely say I absolutely love what I do for a living, and I’m privileged that I’m surround by an incredible group of filmmakers and friends to undertake the journey together. 🎬

Some accomplishments of this decade include:

-Graduated Montclair State University
-Met a whole new group of people at MSU who I can call lifelong friends and collaborators
-Wrote and Directed a short film I’m incredibly proud of
-Started a production company @vanguardstudiosofficial
-Produced and worked on countless films
-Attended numerous film festivals around the country
-Saw not one, but two Eagles Super Bowl wins
-Went to Ireland
-Drastically improved my physical health
-Made some incredible memories
-And so much more

Huge thank you for everyone who came out to celebrate with me despite it being a cold rainy day at a beach bar. I have no idea what’s in store for my 30s, but I know I’ll have an even longer list of accomplishments and more items checked off the bucket list, by the time this decade wraps. The road goes ever on and on and I’m not letting anything get in my way to whatever goal lies ahead.

Let’s make this the based decade yet! 😎🎥

(PS I could only tag 20 people, sorry if I couldn’t squeeze you in 😅)

Brian and Dom representing at Standoff's first festival!
@n.r.keye @dom_lamp

Big Apple hosted an incredible festival, and we were throughly impressed by the quality of the films, festival and theater. The film was well received in its block and many people sought us out after the screening to extend their congratulations.

One down, many more to come!
