Part 4 - What it took to win this podium was insane.
The last few weeks have been tough, stressful, and full of setbacks.
So if you want to know the full story… enjoy!

P3 baby! 🏆
Run 1 of the @driftchampionship at @tuningworld_bodensee was a blast.
Battled my way through tough opponents to the semi-finals, where only @bartosz_stolarski could stop me.
This was a proper start to the season.
I dedicate this podium to my sponsors and the whole team that helped me bring this car to the start line just in time. ❤️

Finally installed hood vents on the LCI hood. Much better than the old ones. Available on bavautoparts.com ✅

After a year in storage, the shop car is finally under the knife again. The #m2competition is getting a lighter hood, more fender clearance, lighter trunk, more reliable power from @pe_tuned , and one off dampers from our friends at @inertialaboratory . Last pic is how she sits now. Yes, it is staying a #6speedmanual

85 days from nothing to a competition-ready E46 drift car.
First test at the Drift.de Series — the car is running well, with a few gremlins left.
Let’s see where we end up.”

This year has been crazy for my 135i, started gathering all the OEM parts necessary for the 1M conversion early last year. Decided to do rear fender flares as opposed to OEM quarters ($1600+ each) 😬 it's a track car so in case of damage I can just fix it easier than having to redo metal quarters. Lots of first's with this build as I'm not a paint/body guy, cut the rear OEM quarter flares off and panel bonded / seam sealed the new Jay Meadows rear quarter flares and had my good friend @stormtrooper_n54 help with the fiberglass moulding and shaping the rear quarters as close to OEM 1M as possible, we spent an afternoon looking at 1M pictures online at different angles to see where the body line went, in the end came out amazing and can't even tell the quarters have been heavily modified 😎. A week before @mpact_ left and I still had to wrap the car (never wrapped a car in my life) 😵 but managed to get most of the car done the day before the event (still need to do bumpers 😪) 🙏 went with the closest color to Laguna Seca Blue that @vvividvinyl offers. Barely made it to Mpact for the time attack event, did a few laps then started picking up friends for ride alongs and about 4 laps in my engine locked up 🥲, towed my car back to the shop thanks to my buddy Omar that helped me out. Car sat for a few months while I got the replacement engine ready and refreshed, this time did all the track prep upgrades, @advancedautofabrication oil sump baffle, Accusump oil system and @aclraceseries rod bearings. Replacement engine is finally in and running again ready for the last track night of the season in a few weeks then time for the roll bar and aero during the winter to be ready for 2026 track season, thanks to all my friends that helped me out with the build 😎🤘
