Fiat Lux @vectorcustomfabricating awaiting my installation of the custom-laminated dichroic glass pieces & the fabulous custom prismatic glass center star.

The sculpture was commissioned by the City of Davis California to celebrate the life of a wondrous young man #karimabounajm whose life was tragically cut short in Sycamore Park just blocks from his home.

Karim’s parents contacted me to create something that reflected his vibrant & joyous life….to express how beloved he was.

The marvelous dichroic & prismatic glass will cascade the site with an array of lovely colors so family & friends can visit the site to remember his bright light and to provide city residents with a beacon for hope.

Nathan started at Vector in 1999 and his piece Implement has been sitting in front of Vector since 2004 after it sat in Lincoln Park Initiative on display! Nathan is a fan of burritos and a pit boss at the annual Vector Hog Roast! #nfo #stainless #sculpture
