Good news!!!!!! 💃💃💃💃💃💜✨

I'm excited to share that I have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence for successfully completing the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Nigeria SDG Advocacy Programme, Cohort 8.

This programme was more than a learning experience; it challenged me to think differently, collaborate with amazing people, and contribute to meaningful community initiatives. From advocating for healthier communities to promoting conversations around sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), every phase strengthened my commitment to creating impact.

I'm grateful for the lessons, the people I met, and the opportunities to serve.

Here's to continuous learning, meaningful impact, and greater heights ahead. 💫

They may look alike, but they’re not the same. 🌾👀

Acha (Fonio) is often mistaken for couscous, semolina, and other tiny grains because of its appearance. But this ancient African grain stands out for so many reasons.

✨ One of Africa’s oldest cultivated grains
✨ Naturally gluten-free
✨ Rich in fibre and essential nutrients
✨ Low glycemic index
✨ Cooks quickly and works in both sweet and savoury dishes

At AchaBox, we’re passionate about helping more people discover the grain that has nourished generations for thousands of years.

Have you ever mistaken another grain for Acha? Let us know below! 🧡

Sunday lunch looked a little different today. 🍲✨

Instead of rice, I made Jollof Acha.

Growing up, acha was always around, but I never realized how special it was. Today, as I stirred the pot, I couldn’t help but think about how many of our indigenous foods are overlooked despite being nutritious, versatile, and deeply rooted in our culture.

This tiny grain has been feeding communities for generations, yet many people have never tasted it.

Maybe it’s time we changed that.

So here’s my Sunday challenge:

If I served you a plate of Jollof Acha right now, would you try it? 👀

Drop a ❤️ if yes or a 😅 if you’re still loyal to rice.

On Saturday, the 30th of May, I had the privilege of carrying out a Sexual grooming outreach with children at The Holy Family Sisters of the Needy Home for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Bwari.

As part of my commitment under the SDGs Advocate Programme @sdsnnigeria , Cohort 8, this outreach focused on SDG 16, Target 16.2, which speaks to ending abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and all forms of violence against children.

The session centered on helping children understand body safety, boundaries and the importance of speaking up when something does not feel right.
We also distributed hygiene packs to the children, because we wanted the outreach to be both educational and practical.

I'm grateful to @sdsnnigeria for the masterclasses that prepared me for this day.
I'm also grateful to my friends and family that supported me and showed up in many ways that I can't list out here.

Honorable mentions: @_nanret for the pictures
@kerkebe_isaac for speaking to the kids on discovering their purpose in life.
@naan_rett for speaking to the children on speaking up and seeking help.
Thank you for going with me to this far place and making an impact in the lives of the children.

I'm grateful 🙏to God that I was able to contribute a small quota to making the world a safer place for children.

P.S: I can't post the children's pictures on the internet.
