He wrote the short film Come Back Hailey (2014), a story about heartbreak that centers on friendship between men, which screened at several New York City festivals.

An award-winning actor, his films have played the 2017 New York Film Festival, HBO’s New York Latino Film Festival, and other festivals worldwide.

He produced and acted in the feature film Tomorrow Ever After (2016), which screened theatrically in select cities, earning critical acclaim and mainstream press.

Born and raised in Washington Heights, New York City, to parents from Moca in the Dominican Republic, Nabil spoke only Spanish until age 5. He considers it his mission to help create authentic stories where cishet men of color get to be caring and experience a wider range of their humanity.

Yo! Meet Rocío and Mercedes: two Afro-Dominican artists (actors, writers, and more) on their journey of self-discovery. In embracing their African heritage and celebrating all things Dominican, they’ve launched this valuable podcast @rocioandmercedes featuring some really wonderful conversations.

I’m highlighting/recommending just a couple of my favorite episodes so far: (9) with Yessenia Reyes and (3) with Claudio Cabrera.

I’m proud to call these women friends and colleagues and grateful to have gotten to speak with them on the show.
Check it out 🎧

Hey y’all, I’ve been on the family tip and have been missing the artistic community I'm part of and get to make and share work with. So when Inwood Art Works decided to showcase “The Brothers Molina” this Friday, I figured I'd make an effort to tell you—whoever saw this on their timeline and is reading—some about it.

Jamie Canobbio wrote and directed this rugged short film about two very different brothers at odds about what to do with their apartment now that their mother has passed away. It’s a bit messy, with a poker club, a dream sequence, and maybe a gun?

We shot this in the apartment of my dear friend Jose Toribio, who we lost in 2020. I miss him and know some of you reading do too. Much love @omgitstibby
