Town of Hardcore Aftershow 1: Haram, Siyahkal, Hedonist, Laughing Corpse

This is about as underground as you can get for a hardcore gig. Brutal, uncompromising, defiant in everyway, handpicked for the most dedicated TOHC attendant, or for those most in the know. Credit must be given to Hedonist and Laughing Corpse (and Buff but I missed their set like a moron), but Siyahkal and Haram back to back was the goldmine I knew it would be.

It's always a pleasure to see how one's culture can be combined with hardcore, but I can't think of better bands to do it than these two. Siyahkal's aggressive, pounding rhythms layered with barks and shouts, and Haram's infectious grooves combined with colorful riffing and almost prayer like vocals, become more than just music. It demands your attention and invites you into their worlds with ease. It's Farsi Hardcore from hell. It's forbidden punk music.

It's a standard that every band must meet.

Nama "Haram" (حرام) dipilih sebagai simbol dualitas: sesuatu yang dianggap berdosa atau terlarang dalam budaya keagamaan, sekaligus mencerminkan bagaimana masyarakat Barat mencurigai komunitas imigran Timur Tengah setelah era War on Terror.
• Mike (Bass): Menjaga ketebalan lini frekuensi rendah.
• Nick (Drums): Motor penggerak tempo utama band.

HARAM menolak keras komersialisasi dan tetap setia pada etos Do It Yourself (DIY). Rilisan fisik mereka didistribusikan oleh label independen terpandang seperti @toxicstaterecords (New York) dan @lavidaesunmus (London) :
• What Do You See? (EP/Demo - 2016): Rilisan awal berbentuk piringan hitam 7-inci yang lang
