Look at
Our necks,
It’s there, something
We bury, every
Summer, beneath
Princess bloodlines
Coursing through
Veins and roses,
Roses, in such
A delicate
Row one could
Almost mistake
Them for
Affection but
It’s all just, because,
Somewhere, in those
Silences, our truths
Were almost
Even

There’s something
Written here, about
Embraces, perhaps
About how
Freely, we choose
To love, but
We weren’t asked, so
We’re left only
With the soft
Eloquence, of our
Touch

New Zine at the print shop!!
Femme Atelier Peinture #2 is at the printers ! This zine features all of the lovely contributions writers and photographers have made of my work over the past year and it showcases some other wild images from research to recreation. In the spirit of a very democratic zine like experience - you can find it free and online after the release next week. True lovers can request a copy (I’ll make an edition of ten OG kippenberger versions, first come first served) all others just enjoy online. Femme Atelier Peinture à Berlin is based in Martin Kippenbergers “Wendemagazin” “4 Taxis/ Home Atelier Peinture à Cologne” - in the spirit of sportsmanship I took the liberty to add another Taxi. Very excited to launch issue #2 in hard copy @lohaussominsky in New York next week. Thx again to the writers and photographers to aid my zine obsession.

Frontrose and Galerie Noah Klink present Joep van Liefland: „Silicon Jelly“

Coinciding with Berlin Art Week, @frontrose.global is showing an exhibition by Joep van Liefland. Presented together with Galerie Noah Klink, „Silicon Jelly“ explores how technologies never simply vanish but persist within their successors: VHS tapes in the cloud, CRTs in flat screens, analog clutter reborn in digital code.

The show will transform Rosegarden’s main gallery and hallway into an immersive exhibition space featuring bronze casts, towers of videotapes, silkscreened RGB patterns and sculptural media relics that expose the fossils embedded in our present. Echoing dystopian visions of 1980s sci-fi, „Silicon Jelly“ asks: Which past futures are we inhabiting today—and which new futures lie dormant in the ruins of our machines?

@joep_van_liefland lives and works in Berlin. His recent solo and group exhibitions include Rothschild & Co Bank AG, Zurich; Oriole, Hamburg; TickTack, Antwerp; Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; Nanzuka, Tokyo; Ramiken Crucible, New York; Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt am Main; and Palais de Tokyo, Paris.

Since 2017 @galerienoahklink has provided a platform for diverse exhibitions and events. Its immersive presentations often focus on painting and post-conceptual art.

Opening: Sep 10, 2025, 6–9 pm
Exhibition: Sep 11 – Oct 4, 2025
Opening hours: Sep 11–13, 12–6 pm | Sep 19 – Oct 4, Fridays and Saturdays, 12–6 pm
Location: Rosegarden | Potsdamer Strasse 98A, 10785 Berlin

Frontrose navigates the intersection of travel and culture, facilitating experiences that open doors to the undercurrents of cities and other places. Since May 2025, Frontrose has run its own program at Rosegarden.

In her review of Jenkin van Zyl's solo exhibition 'Lost Property' for Frieze, Nadia Egan unmasks the artist's hypnotic refusal to resolve: an ‘administrative facility’ that dissolves identity and induces disorientation rather than explaining it.

Commissioned to launch the new subterranean Salling Gallery at ARoS Art Museum in Aarhus, Denmark, 'Lost Property' — van Zyl’s fever-dream video installation — transforms the underground space into a surreal, nightmarish realm where the self unravels in looping cycles of ritual, bureaucracy, and uncanny repetition. In it, he stages a world where identity fragments into a performance under pressure – doppelgängers navigate game‑show absurdities, seductive choreography and cake‑made doubles, all set in a disintegrating administrative labyrinth.

Beware: spend enough time in Salzburg and you may find yourself harboring destructive fantasies towards the city. For me, that took 2 weeks.

Here is a short story I wrote while being holed up in that gray fortress. We drank coffee, we ate pickled cucumber. We also did a reading (exciting!) alongside a zine (design by me and @ru.tka ) produced in record time - text me if you want the PDF, lots of good writing in there.

Why write about art? How? For whom? These questions remain open, thank you @louisaelderton and @everyoneelse in the class for tackling them together. It was great fun - which feels like a good part of the answer.

‘EVALUATION FOR DIAGNOSIS: A Therapy Session Inspired by Dr. Heinrich Hoffmann’ explores psychological conditions through a contemporary photographic series and moving image installation, offering an immersive experience. The exhibition delves into five figures from Hoffmann’s ‘Der Struwwelpeter,’ reinterpreting their stories through a psychological lens. The narrative expands to include fictional personas, portrayed as patients in a psychiatric interview series, shaped by both real-life cases and personal experiences. The space at SAUERS, designed to resemble a doctor’s waiting room, enhances the sense of unease, while video screenings and sound design intensify the emotional depth of the patients‘ struggles.

The exhibition will run until April 6th at SAUERS.
