Thankful for the chance to produce a video project in collaboration with @friendsofwindrushsquare @photofusionuk @empathymuseum which just finished its exhibition run! Hope everyone who was able to come down enjoyed it and thankful for everyone who was able to come and celebrate with me on the private view night, I have more photos from the night still undeveloped so just posting the phone ones. Also big up the other two amazing photographers @naedsn @ryannaallen_ who also worked on this project producing their own great bodies of work covering the big caribbean lunch, lastly thankful for the chance to spend some time with the elders who laid the footprints out for us all! The Video project will be dropped online on Friday for anyone who missed the exhibit 🥰

We are pleased to present Plates & Stories – The Big Caribbean Lunch Exhibition, opening tomorrow evening. If you would like to attend, please message us on Instagram. This collaborative documentary photography exhibition was developed as part of Photofusion’s Creators’ Studio under the mentorship of photographers @amitlennon and @takenyakholness. It brings together three emerging artists – @ryannaallen_, @kadeenbrown._, and @naedsn – who documented The Big Caribbean Lunch in Windrush Square, Brixton, capturing the energy, spirit, and intergenerational joy of this public celebration. The exhibition is part of the Windrush Untold Stories project, which was launched in Windrush Square during the Big Caribbean Lunch in June 2025 as a photography and audio storytelling project, founded by Ros Griffiths, produced by @empathymuseum, with photography in the square by Amit Lennon. The exhibition reflects on Caribbean culture, identity, and community, honouring Caribbean heritage while nurturing the next generation of visual artists.
