Promoting high-quality early education learning by connecting practice, policy, and research. #NAEYC

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This election season, here’s to early educators who are the building blocks of our democracy. As Daniel Hains of @naeyc shares here:

"An early childhood educator at their best is not just a teacher, is not just a caregiver...is also a democracy builder... We know that the skills that children are developing in early childhood programs, when they're learning to engage and build trust with other children, are the same skills that they're going to need to thrive in a diverse democracy in the future.”

Places like New Mexico, Vermont, and Washington D.C. know that investing in early educators builds not just a strong workforce and strong minds, but a society that we can all thrive in.

🎉 ECYC has once again successfully earned accreditation through NAEYC, marking 30 years of continuous accreditation and reflecting our ongoing commitment to high-quality early childhood education and continuous improvement.

This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, administration, families, and children who make ECYC such a special place to learn and grow every day. 💙

Here's to 30 years of excellence... and counting! ✨

THE SECOND AN EDUCATOR SITS DOWN… IT'S GAME OVER.

Apparently, sitting down in a childcare classroom is an open invitation to become the next piece of playground equipment.

One minute you're taking a little break… the next you're being climbed like Mount Everest.

Forget the gym membership. Our educators get their workouts in before lunch.

Early childhood educators, PLEASE tell us we're not the only ones! 😂

Tag an educator who hasn't sat down peacefully in years!

Building a stronger community begins with how we learn to understand one another.

I recently joined Small Talk: Big Ideas About Little Learners with Daniel Hains, Meghan Salas Atwell, and Lucy Recio for a conversation about the connection between early childhood education and a healthy democracy. The way children learn to listen to others and navigate different perspectives can shape how they engage with their communities as they grow.

🎧 Listen to Episode Six, Building Community, to hear more about why early childhood education matters for our shared future: https://www.naeyc.org/smalltalk/season-1/episode-6?utm_campaign=37224345-NOTES_2026_Newsletter&utm_medium=email&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-9roEvYfyJVZuhssUq3rHjV4sB5gpUAvsMSwikV3yO0c0Qq0OQGEm5c1E7MugBeFwidHN_E6XN9ktHo0caXEenIJXaTHw&_hsmi=100249905271&utm_content=444527957&utm_source=hs_email

A BIG YEEHAW is needed, Friends!

We are so honored to be an official partner of @texasaeyc for the 2026 Annual Conference!

TXAEYC does incredible work for early childhood educators across Texas, and getting to be a presenter and a part of the biggest early childhood conference in the state means a lot to us.

Huge thank you to every one of you who listens, shares, and keeps these honest conversations going. You're the reason we get to do things like this. If you see us, come say hi! We'd love to hear what's really happening in your unEDited world!
