....and our 2019-2020 Miss Nigeria USA is Miss Oyo 😢🥺😩 “THE WINNER” 🎉🎊🎈 Only a few people knew what I went through in preparation for this pageant. Four months before the pageant I lost my father, I gained 30 pounds, I had to call out of work for a week, the week of the pageant my original tailor pulled out on me, I bought an entire new dress two days before I had to go to NYC, I had no idea how I wanted to do my hair so I just wore my natural hair, the day before the pageant I took a train back to MD to get the rest of my outfits for the pageant and had to make it back in time to sleep, rehearse and prepare for the big day 😞 How did I see it through??....well at first I didn’t. I was bout to quit and pull out but I was reminded of how much of a beast I am and that I can do all things and that I am more than a conqueror. I was grieving, depressed and overwhelmed. I had spent soooo much money and everything felt like it was falling apart. Some how I still walked in with a smile on my face and gave all of my pageant sisters genuine LOVE and SUPPORT ❤️ some how I got on stage with confidence and passion. All the glory went to GOD 🙏🏾 The people received me because I was myself. As authentic as I could ever be. I am one competitive woman, as an artist we can tend to be extremely picky and precise and I just wasn’t satisfied with anything. So I did what I knew best, I went in as if I was preparing for a race, START STRONG, FINISH STRONG 🙌🏾 That is how I activated my beast mode 🙃 A year ago I won and though this pandemic has put a halt on the work I began to do as a humanitarian, educator and Queen but this too shall pass and I will pick up from where I left off. Thank you all for always believing in me and seeing me for who I truly am 🥰

#TBT to finding this massive studio while in #Brooklyn and doing a quick shoot! You can’t go wrong with perfect lighting! What you don’t see is wet patches of white paint. 🤦🏾‍♀️😩 Needless to say, I set my camera bag down and it got me! Oooo and the soles of my shoes as well! Random moments make for the best memories. Peep the #polaroid crop tee! That’s me repping that @karibaphotography type vibes! Live in the moment without worries, appreciate everything and remember always that YOU GOT THIS!
