SEXUAL VIOLENCE
as on that night of stormy water,
When our world has forgotten to save the young, the beautiful, the brave and the lonely hope of our girls,
I wish for peace to come back to the world, to the Darking land ,
There is nothing here anymore but sad sea water
And a handful of sexual violence
How can you stand the silence
That pervades when our girls cry?
How can you watch the violence that erupts before your eyes?
Can we find comfort while the world plays hide and seek games to cover up the violence?
The girl child's innocence has the right to speak up
And guilt the right to silence
We are living in a time of inconvenience,
When compassion has failed us with meanness in the air
And the streets filled with wickedness
I won't be paragraphed by silence
And I may appear as a barking dog
But I'm not a fan of violence
And I'm still not a fan of silence.
