OLAF 2025🏞️The Otjomuise Live Arts Festival

I’m so grateful to have been a part of this incredible festival trusted to share my craft alongside amazing artists and tell Namibian stories.

Our piece, “A Work in Progress,” choreographed by Elizabeth McLaren, scored and performed live by NaJah, and danced by myself, explores the changing atmosphere of Windhoek’s Zoo Park, from the innocence of childhood to the reflections of adulthood. It was such an emotional experience that I found myself in tears mid-performance, while NaJah’s music filled the park.

The festival showcased so many amazing performances, a true celebration of art in the heart of the city! 🙌🤍

It’s hard to believe it’s already been two weeks since Benjamin Piat, the acclaimed French singer-songwriter from Angers, France, brought his Bivouak Tour 2025 to life in Namibia, at The Village Market!

On Sunday, 19 October, we transformed the Village Sunday market into a little corner of Paris.

Benjamin, together with Bruno Geulen and Najah Namibia, filled the air with beautiful French music and a lot of heart. It was the perfect way to wrap up a weekend.

Big thank you to everyone who came out.

A Weekend of French Chanson at the FNCC , Amitofo Care Centre and The Village Market! 🇳🇦 🇫🇷

This past weekend, the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre and the Embassy of France to Namibia had the great pleasure of welcoming Benjamin Piat, the acclaimed French singer-songwriter from Angers, France, as part of his Bivouak Tour 2025.

On Friday, 17 October, audiences were treated to a special French Chanson Night at the FNCC. Benjamin brought the crowd with his poetic lyrics, dynamic stage presence, and songs from his latest album “Bivouak.” His performance brought the rich spirit of contemporary French music to life.

Sharing the stage with him was Bruno Geulen, the French troubadour based in Ruacana, who took us on a nostalgic journey through timeless French classics from the 60s to the 90s. Together, they created a night that felt both intimate and electric, where the past and present of French music met beautifully.

The celebration continued on Saturday, 18 October at the Amitofo Care Centre in Okahandja, a home and school that provides care, education, and hope to orphaned and vulnerable children. On Sunday, 19 October, The Village Sunday Market turned into a small corner of Paris. With live music from Benjamin Piat, Bruno Geulen, and Najah Namibia, and a lively crowd dressed in their best French-inspired looks, it was the perfect way to close the weekend.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to our amazing partners for making it all possible:
Embassy of France in Namibia, Alliances Françaises of Southern Africa, SPEDIDAM, and Vondelhof Guesthouse.
