Third year Nak Muay

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

There's a huge mental part of fighting. I think it's something like 20% physical 80% mental. For me, it brings out the sides of me I haven't mentally confronted. It’s scary at first but I've found the people around me make it less so. Because of this, I have a huge amount of respect for anyone walking in in the gym let alone in the ring. Emotions and stress can definitely build especially under pressure. It takes a lot out of you.
Thank you to my opponent, Kru Oscar and Jessica, my teammates, my husband and his family, and MTOC.

The Highlights

This card did not disappoint.
@5280thaifight absolutely killed it again, enjoy some of the highs and lows that were able to be squeezed into this short video.

Hope all the fighters are healing up and not losing sight about getting back to training.

P.S.

It’s been an incredible time being back home here and getting to capture you all doing what you love most. I had almost forgotten the feeling of walking into the stampede and catching the sour smell of thai oil and sweat.

Thank you again for keeping me so welcome, it almost feels like I never left. I’ll see you all in October. 🔪

•Tangible Memories•

Thank you everyone for making this event so special. There’s seriously nothing like the Colorado Muay Thai community.

It feels good to have these physical memories. The highs, the lows, and everything that comes in between, I’m grateful to capture it all. There’s a huge strength in vulnerability.

I won my first Muay Thai state tournament.

The first fight was a second-round TKO.
The second fight was an absolute battle, and I won by decision.

I’m proud of myself on this one. Without the assistance of my family, my gym, and my training partners, I wouldn’t have managed to do it. They inspired and pushed me, and their faith in me provided me with the support that I needed to succeed.

In just the short time we have been here, I have learned so much. I’ve thrown over a thousand kicks, ate some of the best food I’ve had in Thailand and feeling very grateful for the opportunity to even be here learning Muay thai.
