REPOST @nakullax Jeffrey Epstein owned a modelling agency. He funded it with $1 million. His associate Jean-Luc Brunel ran it. The same man who had previously run Karin Models and held a stake in Next Model Management.

MC2 recruited teenage girls from Eastern Europe, South America and Africa. Flown in on promises of modelling work. Housed in apartments owned by Epstein in Manhattan. A former MC2 bookkeeper told the FBI the girls were loaned to wealthy clients for up to $100,000 a night. And were not paid if they refused.

Victoria’s Secret was an MC2 client. So were dozens of other major fashion brands. Modelling gave the operation credibility and cover. The industry knew something was wrong. It kept the relationship anyway.

This was not just one man. Gérald Marie ran Elite Model Management’s European arm for 25 years. Connected to both Epstein and Brunel. Elite’s own founder once said of Brunel: everyone knew he was a creep. He should be behind bars. They all knew each other. They all operated inside the same industry. Using the same access to the same girls.

The modelling industry is still almost entirely unregulated. Girls as young as 14 can still be legally signed to agencies in many countries. The playbook has not changed. The names have.

Both Epstein and Brunel died in prison before a full trial. The full truth died with them. But the system that made them possible is still intact.

Cutting plastic out of your life is simple and easy. Pledge to stop using plastic straws and join us on a journey toward zero waste for the health of ourselves, animals and our planet. I now use copper straws, they're not only an excellent substitute for plastic straws but they're super trendy and quite a fashion statement if you ask me. I carry one around with me wherever I go and it's time you joined me in doing so too. If copper isn't your thing, there's glass straws, stainless steel straws and bamboo straws to name a few, all of which are eco friendly. @noplasticstraws @plasticpollutes #SkipTheStraw #SaveASeaTurtle #PlasticPollutes
