I’m moving in November! To celebrate/commemorate my time in OKC I’m throwing a house party/show & am gonna play a bunch of my songs for ya. It’s going to be a great time of music, hangs, bonfire & all that jazz. If you are reading this post, you’re invited!

I chose each of these bands deliberately. I deeply respect all these bands/people & know you’ll love them:

@partywatermusic is an indie techno duo that’s as musically tenacious as it is lyrically and thematically. Their brilliant soundscapes & originally designed projection art (made by G herself) create a fitting platform to both lament & call to account the oppressive structures and leaders that oppress the most vulnerable locally, nationally, and globally.

@skylily.xp is an exceptional indie rock outfit thats soaring & haunting melodies contrast with intuitively angular harmonic textures while sitting beautifully on top of thoughtfully sparse, deep groove. Sky’s voice is light and meticulous and all of @mitchyman_ ‘s contributions are delightfully deliberate. Songwriting and delivery are unmatched.

@moriah_bailey_ in Acoustic Contact put on one of my favorite shows I’ve seen in OKC & continues to impress me. They don’t so much “play songs” as they create dense tapestries/movements through which they guide the listener through with intention, clarity, and care. Their music is deeply embodied and their love/care for humans, animals, & the earth is genuinely felt through their artistic approach.

Lastly, I’ll be playing full band made up of @blackbrahms @tylerrominemusic and @kylereidmusic . I feel so grateful not only to share space with each of these people musically, but to personally know them & appreciate the profundity and beauty of their existence. I write songs about wrestling with existing in a world of deep suffering and the beauty of being connected with myself & with other people/animals/places/things. Would love to share my songs with you all.

Gonna be posting about this all month because I’m so darn excited, but save the post, share it, and spread the word bc it’s gonna be such a crazy cool time. DM me for the address.

It’s been such a fun journey working with @moriah_bailey_ to design the flier for her cross country tour (even to Canada!). She picked some of my most vulnerable pieces. I cannot put into words how awesome it is when Tulsa feels like Joshua Tree and Bailey and her band @nallenwrites + co. Definitely made it feel that way. Loved the Orca stories it even inspired a drawing I did during their set. Welcome back home to Oklahoma! This night was so light and beautiful. Thank you ☺️

Last lil drive of tour! So excited to share music and see familiar faces tonight at @okcbluenote w/ @mossfarmer & @compostadjacent !!

It is a strange thing to share music… songs… vulnerable and revealing expressions of care… night after night in unknown places among unknown people. The moments of sharing music are nourishing, replenishing… but it’s still hard to expose so much and take that risk again and again. I have so much love and appreciation for all the creators I met on this tour who are taking those risks and curating caring spaces. Big thanks to @drifterstheater for being one of those spaces in Tulsa, and thanks to @micaelayoungmusic, @charlottebumgarner, and @alexdupreemusic for sharing music last night. <3
