【Ikebana Workshop in Tokyo,
Ikebana for Beginners】

I had the absolute pleasure of hosting my ikebana workshop at this beautiful venue in Tokyo, originally built in 1909 to welcome the British military officer

1909 falls within one of Japan’s most significant periods (and my personal favourite!!) - the Meiji era, when Japan reopened its borders to the world after 215 years of isolation and began embracing Western culture and influences into everyday Japanese life

For this venue, I chose Western flowers - eucalyptus and calla lilies, to reflect the harmony between the historical Japanese setting and the modern global culture we all share today, as well as what we collectively represent: connection, exchange, and coexistence, and I think it turned out perfectly ✨

To everyone who participated: thank you so much for joining and sharing this beautiful moment together. It was truly magical, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did ❤️

My next workshop in Tokyo will be this autumn after I return from Paris, stay tuned x
