✨ PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT✨ Some artists you admire from afar… until the moment you finally get to share a stage. ❤️‍🔥 A graceful seductress whose fluidity and transcendence captivate audiences, @nami.flare is an award-winning, coast-to-coast sensation carrying forward the legacy of melanated performers who came before her. From earning the title of Grand Master Funk 2025 to becoming a runner-up for Best Debut at the 2025 Burlesque Hall of Fame, her artistry speaks for itself. And with a special connection to Dayton, this booking feels even sweeter! I’ve admired Nami from afar and tried to catch her performing in Ohio, but somehow the stars never aligned. So believe me when I say… I’ll be reserving a seat at my OWN production when she hits the floor! 👀🔥 Dayton, you’re in for a treat! BEYOND THE GLOVE The Music You Know. The Stories You’ve Never Seen. 📍 PNC Arts Annex | Dayton, OH 📅 November 21, 2026 🎟️ Tickets are on sale now at DaytonLive.org, link in our bio! #daytonevents #daytonohio #blackburlesque #michaeljackson #burlesqueshow

Opening night in Taipei! The Climate of Images is now open at @kdmofaart - my first institutional solo exhibition in Asia. A decade of work has come together here, from the early studio constructions to Image Cities and Atlantic Coast. I’m delighted with these first glimpses, especially the way the photographs appear through the open wooden structure. There’s always another image just beyond the one you’re looking at. Thank you to curator Jims Lam for the thoughtful installation, and to Agnes Liao @upgallery2009 for making this ambitious exhibition possible, together with the Kuandu Museum team. If you find yourself in Taipei, I hope you’ll stop by. 💙 The Climate of Images Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei October 16, 2026–January 10, 2027

We’re 34 tickets away from our goal… When we set out to build Chicago’s first all-BIPOC, all-level burlesque competition, it was about creating a space that actually holds us where artists from across the country can step onto stage and be seen, celebrated, and loved for exactly who they are.  On October 24th at The Newport Theater, they’re traveling in from Atlanta, Houston, Memphis, Raleigh, and right here in Chicago to put everything on the line for Brown Suga Supreme.  This show means the world to us, and seeing this room fill up is everything. If you’ve been planning to come, now is the time. Help us lock in our minimum goal and sell these 34 seats and show these performers the kind of deep love Chicago is known for 💕 . . . . #ChicagoBurlesque #BrownSugaSupreme #BIPOCBurlesque #NewportTheater #ChicagoEvents SupportBIPOCArtists ChicagoNightlife
