#flashbackfriday- My education in the business of music began with this iconic Stewart family, so seeing this honor bestowed upon #TheFinisher is especially meaningful.

Two lessons I continue to learn with the Stewart/RedZone family: Teamwork makes the dream work. Family comes first.

What started as a raw production team I created called #BATTERY5 became a masterclass in record-making under Tricky’s leadership. He taught them the difference between making beats and composing records. For me, being a part of experiences from “Umbrella” and The-Dream’s trilogy to “Bed,” “Suffocate,” “Single Ladies,” and the development of a young Bryan J, every moment was a lesson in vision, discipline, creativity, and execution.

Last night, the Songwriters Hall of Fame recognized what many of us have known for years: Christopher Tricky Stewart is one of the great architects of modern music.

Congratulations on your induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Well deserved. Long overdue.

Salute to the one guy who can still call me “Pumpkin” and get away with it. Thank you @trickystewart for the lessons, the opportunities, and the example.

⭐️ Tricky Stewart ( @trickystewart ) is now a part of the ’Songwriters Hall of Fame’ ( @songwritershof ) and will be inducted tomorrow night by our friend Dallas Austin ( @dallasaustins )!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

A while back I got to interview my dear and precious friend Tricky for my show ‘BaBy’s CriB’ ( @babys.crib ). I’ve known Tricky for many moons and he’s super special to me for numerous reasons!!

Being able to interview him @sessionsatlanta when they were still under construction and we only had a small part of his unfinished studio to film in was such an incredible honor!! It was so special!! We chatted for way over an hour and a half. That time with him and all that he shared with me, for all of you was so giving and loving, and genuinely just an extension of the man that he is and we spoke about his life from the begging to the present at that time!

He’s not only incredibly talented, but he’s also got a beautiful soul!! I love Tricky and his family to life!! I’m so proud of him!!💫

So let’s all applaud Tricky!!! He’s been making incredible music since he was a kid!! Music runs on his blood!! And what he’s created for all of us has made this world, spin in more beautiful ways in my opinion, and obviously in a lot of other people’s opinions as well!!!
