In Jericoacoara, Brazil 🇧🇷 to celebrate the wedding of our dear friends’ daughter, Tory.

We met through beach volleyball years ago and quickly became like family — both with Brazilian dads, moms of Swedish descent, minister grandpas, and beach volleyball girls.

Grateful for this special bond and so happy to be here as Tory walks down the aisle tomorrow. 🤍✨

They couldn’t have picked a more enchanting spot - we’ve had a wonderful week.

Got my ATC’s back in the mail yesterday from the ATC Swap @abbypainterart put on, I’m really liking this #mixedmediaart community. There’s a lot of talent out there. #mixedmedia #art #atcs #atcswap #posca #acrylicpainting #ink #color #community #artist

It’s that time of year when most are setting goals and looking ahead with optimistic plans. Although that’s a wonderful thing, what I’ve quite enjoyed the last couple of weeks is forgetting where my phone is and soaking in time with the people that know me best.

I love meeting new people and making plans but there’s something soothing in doing simple things with family. So grateful that our gang is healthy and able to be together! Cheers to more British Baking Show marathons and late night conversations🍷

Announcing this year's ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot Art Contest winner: Nancy Miller Johnson! A professional studio artist, Nancy recently completed commissioned work for the the new East Austin Hotel, including collages and paintings for each room, reminiscent of the 70s and early 80s. She also created major pieces for the lobby and the restaurant. (See Nancy’s work on Instagram, @nancehere).

Nancy and her family and friends are looking forward to being at the in-person Trot this year. “There isn’t any event that’s more fun for everyone, right in the heart of Austin.”

P.S. This year’s ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot is less than two weeks away—but we’re already thinking about next year’s event! The Trot is on everyone’s minds so there’s no better time to announce the launch of the annual competition to design artwork for the 2022 ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot.

Each year, artists ranging from graphic design professionals to middle school students compete to create the event artwork. The Art Contest winner will receive gift certificates for 365 subs and will see their creation on T-shirts, event guides, posters, website, social media, and more. The 2021 ThunderCloud Subs Art Contest entry deadline is Sunday, January 9. (Official rules will be posted soon on thundercloud.com.) #thundercloudturkeytrot 🦃 ⚡️

We might of got 2nd at the tournament, but it feels like we came in 1st for having the best weekend ever! Yeah winning is fun and all, but reconnecting with one of your best friends after almost 2 years is the greatest victory! Playing with you in the tournament was just the cherry on top 🤍 #imissyoualready
