Summer Sling Stage Combat and Stunt Workshop -
I’ve never done any stage combat, so I pieced together a diverse schedule to get an introductory education in as many different things as I could. I was so impressed with the staff and the incredible environment cultivated by this stage combat community! Thank you to all of my fight partners - everyone was so generous and kind! It was fun to be a student again for a few days, step completely outside of my comfort zone, and to learn something entirely new! Thank you @neutralchaoscombat and @summersling_nyc for providing an amazing 3 day workshop that made this novice feel so welcome!

And…yes…I did step backwards into a post on a water break and roll my ankle as I tried to save myself from falling completely over backwards. I thought I could walk it off…and then realized I’m not 20 years old anymore…I ended up observing for the rest of day 3. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to the “vicious small sword” and “staff” classes. Oh well!

BEHIND THE SCENES
of “DEI” 📸

sights • sounds • sets • smiles!

We made this film at an incredibly difficult time in our country. We didn’t know it would get worse. That is why we just keep tell in stories.

Back in January, I had the privilege of attending the paddy crean workshop for the first time, and I can confidently say it will not be my last! This is just a glimpse into all I learned and did in the week I was there. Forever grateful for the incredible staff and all my friends who made this such an incredible experience #takemetopaddy #paddycrean2026 #iosp #paddyfamily #takeitwithyou
