This past weekend at my first New Orleans Jazz Fest I got to experience what will go down as one of the most memorable weekends of my life. So grateful to @shelleykingtx for encouraging me to join in on the fun of celebrating the amazing @longtallmarciaball. I think we all were running on fumes, but it was 100% worth the exhaustion! I got to see friends from so many eras of my life and I witnessed some serious emotion-stirring magic when the Marcia Ball band played the blues tent. And to top it all off, when Shelley, Carolyn and I were trying to get out of the way back stage, we somehow lucked into getting the sweetest hugs from the beautiful soul that is Jon Batiste after he finished his set! I’m not sure what I did to deserve this experience, but I am surely thankful for it! #hellomynameisdebbie #jazzfest2026

It’s Founders Month at HOME - a time to honor the founding board members, early donors, and musicians whose belief and generosity built this organization from the ground up. And honestly… this moment pretty much sums it up.

Captured on stage at last year’s event, we like to think this was a classic “who started it?” exchange courtesy of founding Board members Shelley King, Carolyn Wonderland, Marcia Ball, and Nancy Weiss Coplin. HOME founder energy at its finest.

This month, we’re celebrating all the people who made HOME possible - the founders who said yes first, the donors who stepped up early, and the musicians who trusted us with their stories and their futures.

✨ Merry Christmas Eve, HOME family! We’re looking back on a month full of moments we’re merry about:

Our Client Services Coordinator Ames joined our amazing H-E-B partners to deliver holiday cheer, tunes, and tortilla blankets

True Texas Tunes magic - Texas legend Bob Livingston filled the store with stories and soul, while Sister Golden Hair brought radiant feminine energy and harmonies that stopped shoppers in their tracks.

Our first HOME Board holiday party! Featuring the Jon Blondell Trio - and since Jon is a HOME client, it felt especially meaningful to hire him to bring music and joy to the Board members who give so much to our mission.

Music, community, and care - the heart of HOME this season.
Wishing you a warm, joyful Christmas Eve. ❤️🎄

Don’t forget! While you’re out and about this holiday week - traveling through AUS or catching shows with family - snap a pic with a HOMEcoming mum at any participating venue or the Antone’s window display at the airport.

Post it on Instagram or Facebook, tag @homeaustinorg, and use #AustinHOMEcoming to enter.

You could win a HOMEcoming commemorative set, 2 tickets to an Antone’s show in December, and a $250 M Robinson Fine Jewelers gift card to add a little sparkle to your season.

Show your HOME town love, support Austin musicians, and you might just win something fabulous. 📸✨

Last night at @arlynstudios was magical. We were there to celebrate @homeaustinorg, an organization I’m proud to be a part of. Heard of it? HOME provides financial support towards housing Austin’s aging legacy musicians. Yesterday was the soft launch of HOMEcoming; for all of November, shows at venues across the city will be donating a portion of proceeds to HOME. SO COOL. Catch a show and support a great cause!!
PS if I needed convincing to come out last night for the event at Arlyn, former @mayorsteveadler’s beautiful remarks would have put me over the edge. He talked about Austin’s elder musicians being “victims of the successs that they created.” Man. If that doesn’t make it clear why we owe these institutional musicians our support now, I just don’t know. ❤️🙏🏾🎶
