Preparing for presence. Curating for impact.

Behind the scenes, every detail is being considered as we bring the Akasha Art Projects vision to life at Artist Project. This year marks our debut as the Official Framer, a milestone that reflects our commitment to elevating how art is experienced and presented.

From the selection of works to the precision of each frame, our booth has been thoughtfully composed to showcase the full breadth of our practice. A curated presentation of our framing approaches will sit alongside the introduction of Art House magazine, extending our vision into the editorial space.

We look forward to welcoming you into the space, where presentation becomes experience and every piece is given the stage it deserves.

We cannot wait to see you there and connect with fellow artists and creatives.
Come see us at Booth 123.

It was an exquisite evening in support of a profoundly important cause. We were honoured to be one of the sponsors of this year’s SNAP!—a distinguished art auction and celebration hosted by @act_aidscommto, benefiting the vital work of ACT (AIDS Committee of Toronto).

It was a privilege to frame the limited edition piece this year by Vicki Da Silva. This year’s incredible collection resonated with purpose, beauty, and a shared commitment to meaningful change. The evening was a masterclass in how art can move beyond the visual—to inspire, to connect, and to uplift.

Having our team together for such an impactful occasion was a true pleasure. We are endlessly grateful to be part of a community where creativity and compassion intertwine so seamlessly.

Thank you @act_aidscommto for an unforgettable night and for your unwavering dedication to advocacy, care, and community.

Passing by 'Vestiges' by artist @janettaylorart @akashaart on a snowy Saturday
Photo @nancydawnclemo
Vestiges is a group of paintings about quiet mark making and fleeting moments, lled with space, suspended thoughts, and half- seen gestures.
VESTIGES
Overall abstract, the works are deeply rooted in the physical and mental lanascape, referring to the sun, to weather, bodies of water and rocky masses. Drawing hints at fragments of branches, leaves and plants, tree trunks, towers and doorways. Bits of handwriting,. seemingly almost readable, are mixed with purely expressive gestures referencing an inner landscape, an emotional journey.
The feeling throughout is of the edges of a dream you can't quite remember, a song or conversation almost heard, frail hopes and hall remembered stories; fleeting moments. Point of view is fluid. Imagery breaks up: drawn and then erased or obscured, leaving a sense of vacancy. Vestigial images drift across veils of space, moving through, as though their time here is limited. Fragments are faded and hidden-things barely seen in the mist.
I made this series of paintings in the fall of 2024, a time of anxiety and uncertainty. They carry a sense of the fragility of human stories and memories. There is a feeling that we have just missed something meaningful, leaving behind an echoing sense of longing. And yet, there is promise. Upward motion, energetic gesfures and flecks of colour populate the surfaces-tiny signifiers of rising, escaping, of dreams and hope

After seven distinguished years in our original space, Akasha Art Projects sought grander horizons. Our current exquisite location in Cabbagetown offered the perfect expansion. Initially, we occupied the main space, later adding a sophisticated woodshop in the basement. Subsequently, we acquired the "Loft," an adjacent freestanding building now dedicated to our fine art printing department.

This new chapter underscores our unwavering commitment to quality, artistic excellence and innovation within our comprehensive art services. Thank you for being part of our elevated journey.
