"Parisian chic meets coastal cool"

The first manifestation of the Porta Via concept in Palisades Village, sister of the original eatery in Beverly Hills.

"The designer also notes, the floor brings to mind… the striped boatneck shirts that epitomize both midcentury French style and that of those who summer in Nantucket. The teal-blue linen upholstery of the custom banquette, too, infuses impressions of the sea, and since Los Angeles is the land of forever summer, Goineau ensured a seamless indoor-outdoor connection by continuing the black-and-white floor out onto the patio.
‘It makes you feel good as a whole,’ the designer says of the restaurant. ‘My goal is to trigger something pleasurable. I like people to feel something.’”

This is what I know ...
That I know very little.
That I can only start from where I am now

That I have begun to educate myself where before this I have truly failed.
This past week has been about conscious choices. The black literature I chose, the movies and documentaries I watched, and the conversations I participated in, have made a start to actively participating and waking up both my mind and my heart.
I commit to using my voice and this platform to help with change. It is no longer an option to sit on the sidelines and watch. This is a revolution. We need to make a choice to stay awake. We pledge to donate 20% of proceeds from this weeks sale to the movement. Be the change you wish to see in the world

LA CEIBA // Letterpress menus with an abstract tree inspired design and monogrammed napkins. To the Mayans, this sacred tree represents the center of universe connecting the underworld with the roots to the people in the branches, creating a pathway to heaven. It symbolizes strength, wisdom, protection, wealth and beauty. The rehearsal dinner was held under the ceiba tree at the Rosewood Mayakoba with Lynden Lane.
