I hold many memories of this house from driving by a child during the holidays to peek at the decorations , to sneaking out of my house and biking to meet friends to drink 🍺 . We attended beautiful rehearsal dinners and lounged as young ladies for our first grown up luncheons. My last visit was to stay as a guest at my fathers funeral. Charlotte NC is called the city of trees . My best friend growing up was Billy Cooper and his grandfather planted the trees in our neighborhood. ( I wonder what he would think of our shenanigans)🙀 My mother fought to preserve some of the tree canopies during a development boom as she understood what the increasing heat would do the landscape. Hurricanes will take down many of the mature trees all along the coastal states and the privilege is ours to keep planting and replacing them.
Interesting fact- you share the same microbes with the trees in your surrounding area.. it makes you connected to them on a microscopic level🎄🌲🌳🌿🌲🍀
If you like gardens - check out @nannycooper_ Billy’s mom and my design entertaining charitable mentor
