STORY HERE:
The big challenges in our Taekwondo journey hold even bigger rewards when we overcome them. And yesterday’s winner of “Best Belt Test” is proof of that. It took Naomi several retests to get her green belt. She was stuck on the breaking. When she finally broke, she’d already improved in every area of her training with power and confidence. Last night her Green/Blue belt test was strong, her confidence was unwavering and her board broke on the first try. Many students get stuck on the board break. And it’s an important aspect to conquer because breaking requires focus and a very strong belief in ourself. Any fears and lack of confidence we have show up when it’s time to break that board. We’ve all been there. So, what do we do to push through? We train harder. We really step it up. It is the only way. We train harder in all areas, but especially the areas that makes us uneasy. We face our fears, and our fears back down. Never feel less for not passing a test. Failing in life is simply an invitation to step it up into higher levels. Congratulations to Naomi and everyone else who tested yesterday. 😊 Master Kathryn
