We’re thrilled to share the official international poster for I’LL BE GONE IN JUNE.

Written and directed by @katharina_rivilis, the film had its world premiere in May 2026 at @festivaldecannes in Un Certain Regard. Just last week, the film had its North American premiere at @chifilmfest.

We can’t wait to see the film gain even more momentum as it continues its festival run. 🎬✨

I’LL BE GONE IN JUNE, @katharina_rivilis’s critically acclaimed debut feature film, will have its North American Premiere TONIGHT at @chifilmfest!

🎞️In 2001, Franny, a 16-year-old exchange student from Germany, arrives in the sleepy desert town of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Far from home, Franny struggles through awkward school days, stifling heat, and restless nights until she meets Elliott, a boy whose quiet sadness mirrors her own. As America reels from 9/11, something resonates within Franny and an unexpected tenderness begins to bloom.

We couldn’t be more thrilled for this film to premiere stateside ahead of its 2027 theatrical release.

@hessenfilmundmedien @hmwk_hessen
