For close to 15 years, this game ruled my life. It brought fear, anxiety, and a constant need for validation, leaving me empty and feeling like I was missing the mark time and time again. Through all the highs and lows, the injuries, the struggles, and the years of never feeling content, I eventually came to the end of myself and surrendered my life to Jesus. I let go of the game I loved, and in that surrender, He built me up, grew me, and made me steady in Him. Now He’s returned that desire to play in a whole new way. I’ve fallen in love with learning about biomechanics and understanding the human body, and it’s a joy to move, to help others find joy in movement, and to share the freedom and love of God with them along the way. Praise Jesus that everything happened the way it did. He has done exceedingly and abundantly more than I could have imagined. I now have not only the most beautiful wife in the world, but also the best teammate and support system a driven man could ever ask for. And now, I get to take joy in all of it. 🙌🏽✝️🏀
