POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It scares me to admit why this has taken me longer to share.

At first, I told myself it was because I wanted to post this video together with the opening of my 9-week Dancing Through Grief journey.

And yes, part of me wanted everything to be ready first.

But if I’m honest, that wasn’t the real reason.

The truth is that grief hasn’t been something I experienced once, or something that belongs only to my past.

It’s been alive.

Grief is so un linear, and somehow also cyclical.

Ir shows up in so many ways.
More than we can bear at times.

Over the past few months, grief has been walking beside me almost every day.

And somehow, so has joy.

Deep belly laughter.
Love.
Wonder.
Moments that have expanded my heart in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

I bet you know these waves too.

The place where your heart is breaking open and opening wider at the very same time.

I’ve come to believe that grief isn’t something we move beyond.

It’s something we learn to move with.

By witnessing
By ritualizing
By giving it a body.

For me, movement has become one of those rituals.

The deeper my capacity to feel pain has become, the deeper my capacity for joy has grown alongside it.

And for that, I am deeply grateful.

I’m also endlessly grateful to the beautiful women who helped bring this vision to life.

@thebodyswisdom

And to @soul.creative_studio for capturing, creating, and believing in this series alongside me. ♡

The next step of this journey is slowly taking shape, and soon I’ll be opening a space for those who feel called to explore grief through movement, ritual, and community.

More soon.

Waves of love,
Naomi Ring

what was that initial sound?

beneath the noise
beneath the searching
beneath the endless trying to understand

something ancient calls us back

back to the body
back to the Earth
back to the places within ourselves
that remember

a knowing

quiet
alive
waiting to be met

The body remembers what the mind tries to hide.
We weren’t designed to carry the weight of our memories in isolation.

There is a specific kind of healing—a literal softening of the armor—that only happens when we allow ourselves to be seen.

Tears, scars, shadows, and all.

This session at the coast wasn’t just a shoot; it was a ritual. A testimony to years of friendship with lihibarak. What building intimacy with someone and being seen to your core feels like.
It felt like returning to something ancient, a needed reminder that my story is etched into my skin, and when I share it with you, the burden becomes a bridge to belonging.

When was the last time you let someone really look at you?

most of us learned that healing means
moving past something

fixing it
changing it
getting somewhere else

but there’s another way

to stay
to listen
to meet what’s actually here

not everything is asking to be fixed

some things are asking
to be felt
to be held
to be given space in the body

within our capacity
and the courage to stay

healing begins

this wouldn’t have come to life without @soul.creative_studio

there’s a moment…
when the search softens

when you’re no longer trying
to become
to fix
to arrive somewhere else

and something in you remembers

nothing is missing

even here
even now

there is a wholeness
that isn’t waiting for you to change

just to notice

resting in being…
while allowing becoming

grateful for the eye of @soul.creative_studio behind this creation ♡♡♡

there’s something about being with both…
the light and the shadow

when we release the effort of trying to hide
and begin letting it move through the body

softly…
maybe in ways that feel unfamiliar
with curiosity

exploring what it means
to be intimate with all parts of ourselves

how does it feel
to be with yourself in a real, almost private way…
and let that be witnessed?

I’ve been quiet here for a while, not because nothing was moving,
but because this season of my life asked to be lived before it was shared.

As the year turns, I notice how easily I romanticize what’s behind me,
and how the future, no matter how many intentions I set,
still feels vast, mysterious, and sometimes a little daunting.

And honestly, that mystery is something I love.

When sight isn’t enough, I return to my other resources.

Sensation. Listening. Touch.
Ways of orienting that don’t require certainty.

I don’t experience God as something that punishes or demands perfection.
I feel God as Source. As Love moving through all things.
And in that presence, I find unwavering faith.

Remembering that there is something greater moving beside us, through us, with us,
protecting, guiding, and accompanying us in ways we don’t always understand,
supports me to trust the mystery.

I come back to myself.
To what matters.

Not everyone marks this time as their true New Year.
And yet, here we are at the threshold anyway.

The date will change.
Life will continue.
And in the quiet of another morning, we wake up, breathe,
and remember where we are.

From that very ordinary, sacred moment,
we get to choose again how we live.

And hold yourself like the human you choose to become,
until one day you look back and find that you already are ꩜

Naomi Judith Ring

Grief began my awakening.
Grief gave me a new life.

Because grief is full of love—
a bridge between death and rebirth.

The best therapy for a heavy heart
isn’t something you talk through…
it’s something you dance through.

Dance shakes loose the shame.
It melts the weight you carry.
It brings you back to yourself—
again and again… and again.

You are always welcome here.
Back to your heart.
Back to your truth.
Back to your body.
