A little fun fact about me… I also have a background in martial arts. 🥋💃

And honestly, dance and martial arts have more in common than you might think.

Both have taught me that learning the steps is just the beginning. The real fun starts when you understand why things work and give yourself the freedom to play, explore, and improvise.

As I get ready to teach Lindy Hop again, I'm excited to bring a little of both worlds onto the dance floor.

Less memorizing. More connecting, listening, and having fun. ✨

We had so much fun teaching this crash course for our sister community @nola_femmefuego last night! Watch this quick demo if you missed this cool opportunity!

(shoutout to @naomisdevils for this cool rendition of Cab Calloway’s classic tune)

We are also less than a week away from our opening night on Wednesday, October 7th! See you there (click on the links in our bio for more information)!

Once again it’s going to be an absolutely incredible line-up at @rcmfest this weekend in Eureka, CA. I’ll be playing with @lovestruckballadeers @naomisdevils @thejoelpaterson @charlie_tropicales & @davekosmyna. Each band is filled with so many great musicians there are too many to list! These fotos are just the tip of the iceberg…any and all exclusions result only from how easy to find to find a musician was in my camera roll! #swing #jazz #ragtime #lindyhop
