Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague 🤍

The last few weeks have been filled with things that make me genuinely happy art, fashion, beautiful spaces and little discoveries in good company.

I’m especially grateful for those who take me along on days that feel heavy, and somehow bring back a little bit of sparkle. Ly ✨

Nursery Cultivation Bags — in various sizes (S–M–L), ranging from 30 × 15 cm to 45 × 15 cm. Blown glass and carved glasswork by @geraldodossantos.nl

Presented at @nap.plus 2026 with @josilda_da_conceicao_gallery

With special thanks to @cbkrotterdam for their generous support.

The blown glass works were created in collaboration with the Glass Studio of the National Glass Museum Leerdam. @nationaalglasmuseum Special thanks to @gertbullee for his generous support and guidance throughout the production process.

Nursery Cultivation Bags forms an essential part of my ongoing research into the domestication of artificial agricultural systems. Nursery bags are designed to nurture and protect young plants, yet they also facilitate the large-scale expansion of monoculture plantations. As such, they embody the tension between care and extraction, cultivation and exploitation.

By recreating these disposable plastic objects in blown glass, I transform an overlooked agricultural tool into a fragile and enduring monument. The material introduces a hauntological presence: something simultaneously delicate and permanent, absent yet lingering. The sculptures reveal how infrastructures of cultivation quietly shape contemporary landscapes, exposing the hidden relationship between the commodification of natural resources and the construction of landscapes that are presented as "natural."

Looking back at a yet again a great edition of @nap.plus art fair at Markthallen where we presented a much beloved and successful! solo presentation by our young talented painter @gideon_gameren Gideon van Gameren.

Gideon is the proud winner of this years Royal Award for Modern Painting.

Here a snapshot of @artconnector Jeannette Ten Kate who mainly praised Gideon’s talent and mature and distinctive painting technique.

Soon Gideon will be shown at @rijksmuseum_twenthe, do not miss this fab upcoming show.

Un grand merci to the entire NAP+ team for organizing this buzzing and edgy event!
