Janard Lockhardt balled out in his Louisiana Tech debut, as he graded out as a top 5 CB in the FBS in his first game in the division. With major tests against LSU and Baylor on the schedule the next two weeks, Janard is ready to rise to the occasion and continue his stellar play📈

My guy Janard “Nard” Lockhardt (22ndnard) bet on himself and won. 💯

From a First-Team All-SWJCFC performer at Tyler Junior College to Louisiana Tech for the 2026 season, this journey is a reminder that patience, hard work, and belief in yourself still pay off.

I had the privilege of being Nard’s JV coach at Mervo and later training him with @dblandsportz19. I watched him go from being unsure of his role in that first JV game to earning a starting spot by Week 4. From there, he never looked back.

He finished his career at Mervo as a 2021 State Champion, and now he’s taking the next step at the Division I level.

Proud of the work you’ve put in, young king. Keep stacking wins and stay hungry. Baltimore is watching. 💪🏾🏈

Louisiana Tech got a good one.
