POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Wrapped our scene, stepped outside at 2am, came up with an idea and just ran with it😂. No script, no rehearsal, just flow💯… and apparently, a $1 million betrayal. 😂😭

I’ve held on to this one for a bit. ♥️

LONG READ..
In November 2023, I graduated from film school. I went there to learn how to edit films and tell stories, but somehow, the singer-songwriter in me found a way to shine through. For my final project, I wrote an original song for the film I’d edited, and we ended up winning Best Original Score, Best Film Grade and a few other awards.

A month later, a friend reached out because he needed someone to write music for a film he was working on. I got to the studio and found out it was a film by my lead pastor @pst_iren, whose workforce I already was a part of (CCW). It honestly felt like one of those moments that was meant to happen. It was such an honor ♥️

I watched it and had to write for it, and it was such a wholesome and beautiful experience.🥹
It is an incredible film📌

Fast forward to 2026. The film finally came out, and after almost three years, I honestly didn’t expect much of what we’d done to still be in it. But to my surprise, they kept “Forever With You,” one of the songs I wrote for the film, and that just made my heart happy. 🥹

I’ve always loved storytelling through whatever medium I could use to express it. It’s always been a part of me, even if life sometimes makes me forget that.

So I’m choosing to celebrate this win not for anything else but because it reminded me that I’ve never lost this side of me. I may have only paused for a bit.

Here’s to creating more scores, more moments, more music and more pieces that feel like me. 🥂

This one I’ll cherish for a long time.😫♥️

PS: Forever grateful to friends who always put me on @deeapv 🫶🏽
